Come on a coastal journey with two enthusiastic local poets Libby Hathorn and Elizabeth Cummings, as they explore our beaches, boardwalks and unique environments.
CELEBRATING LOCAL AUTHORS The Woollahra Bookshop is always delighted to support local authors and showcase what an imaginative and industrious lot they are. Libby Hathorn and Elizabeth Cummings were busy during Covid with their shared creative writing project. Together they spent time walking along the magnificent coastline of Sydney and as Libby says, ‘explored a different beach every few weeks, walked a bit, dreamed, observed and wrote.’ The result is their engaging collection of poems, Coastal Poetry from Yarra Bay to Watson’s Bay, with keen observations on coastal flora and fauna, the baths and boardwalks, the weather and waves and not forgetting the humans and their ‘ink-etched bodies/ on salt-washed boards’ surfing the crazy swells.
