I am delighted to support the wonderful work of all the team at the Shepherd Centre. They help children with hearing loss in the most amazing ways, including the miracle of the cochlear implant.

The Shepherd Centre also supports kids learning in pre-school and school, with speech therapy, audiology, music and games. They provide amazing support to families of children with hearing loss too.

The Shepherd Centre even has programs for tiny babies, who thanks to this wonderful work at this early stage, can achieve their fullest potential.

Mitrataa Foundation – Nepal

Established by Australian Bec Ordish, Mitrataa’s vision is to inspire Nepali people to empower themselves and to take responsibility for their own futures by providing them with the education, skills, training, networks and belief in themselves to achieve their dreams. This is especially relevant to girls and women there.

Libby makes visits to Nepal to work with both teachers and children. She has conducted her 100 Views Kathmandu poetry programme there. In 2016 she has worked with Mitrataa to help bring HEARTQUAKE to fruition, a compendium of poetry art, photographs and writings about the devastating 2015 earthquake and its personal effect on children and families across Nepal.
