I’m delighted to announce my Australian Book Industry Award (ABIA) named in honour of author and illustrator Pixie O’Harris (1903 – 1991).
The award recognises editors, creators, booksellers, publicists and other industry reps for commitment to children’s literature.
As someone devoted to the Arts and Australian literature, I’m delighted to be the recipient of this prestigious award and thrilled to be part of the red carpet event that honours:
- The Book retailer of the Year
- The Bookshop of the Year
- The Publisher of the Year
- The Small Publisher of the Year
- and The Rising Star Individual.
It spurs me on to meet the needs of modern children through story and link them to the joy of books through engaging (even tasting, for little ones) all our senses.
