A Soldier a Dog and a Boy illustrated by Phil Lesnie, was the shared winner of the Asher! It’s an award made biennially to a woman writer on an anti war theme. Celebrated at the ASA last week after the Colin Simpson lecture to an audience of almost 50 people. Exciting because its the first time a picture book has won such an award!
