Inspired by writer/acedemic Debra Adelaide who informed us of an online Empathy Poetry page at UTS (University of Technology Sydney) about the plight of refugees around the world, we’re experimenting at the Society of Women’s Writers luncheon. These are held each month at the NSW State Library, and this time I will have a workshop approach for some group writing of empathy haiku-type poems. Some of these will be posted on our website and the UTS Empathy website.
